Would you like to work remotely? The first digital nomad village in Croatia was opened
A new village in Croatia has been launched, aimed specifically at digital nomads looking to leave the office.
Zadar is a port city in the center of Croatia. With thriving markets, sparkling beaches and all the freshest seafood you can get, this is the perfect place for a relaxing summer vacation.
But what if you don't have to go when your vacation is up?
Due to the pandemic, remote work is turning from a fringe idea into a reality for many. And many workers don't want to give up their new freedom.
The digital nomadic way of life is great if you need a break from your usual workplace, or want to commit to a full-time lifestyle.
Studies show that flexible work has great benefits for our mental and physical health. And if you're in a location with a lower cost of living, your wallet can benefit too.
Croatia quickly recognized the digital nomadic lifestyle. As one of the biggest travel destinations in Europe, they are relying on digital nomads to keep their economy running during the pandemic.
The country has even offered special visas for digital travelers outside the EU, allowing them to stay for one year without paying income tax.
