In order to prevent violations of military rules, the YouTube videos that EXO's Baekhyun regularly uploads are now private!
EXO's Baekhyun recently joined the military in May 2021, but he made sure he didn't leave without something for his fans. Baekhyun has shot so much content that he can post one video a month during his military service.
Military service in South Korea is now 18 to 21 months, depending on the department. However, after just 7 months of conscription, SM Entertainment made an official statement through Baekhyun's personal YouTube channel informing fans that videos posted from the date of his draft will be deleted.
This is due to a widely recognized law in South Korea that prevents military personnel from receiving official salaries other than those of the military. In other words, the military cannot have any job other than their military service.
Although Baekhyun's YouTube videos are unrelated to this law as he recorded them prior to his military draft, SM Entertainment made this decision to avoid any misunderstanding about the legality of his YouTube perks as a military at that time.
