 Microsoft launches Windows 11 which is more accessible for users with disabilities. There are several excellent features that are tailored to the specific needs and experience of disabled users.

Windows 11 Senior Product Design Manager, Jiwon Choi said, the form of accessibility on the Windows 11 platform is more varied for users with disabilities. For example, the Windows operating system can be done through the voice and touch of a pen or finger on the computer screen. There is also a contrast display that can be adjusted more easily by users with low vision or Low Vision.

"Our team is working to accommodate two interests," said Jiwon Choi in a virtual press conference through the Microsoft Theme application on Thursday, November 11, 2021. First, better accessibility for Microsoft users; second, for disabled users with more unique and specific needs based on user experience.

The Windows 11 operating system officially launched on October 5, 2021 in Indonesia. This platform can be obtained through a free update on eligible computers with the Windows 10 operating system and on new computers.

Designer Accessibility Input for Windows 11, John Porter explained, voice operation is one of the best features of Windows 11 that can accommodate users of various physical disabilities. Voice input in Windows 11 is not just a tool, but also an assistive tool for users with disabilities to operate their computers independently.

"In addition to users with disabilities, voice input is certainly useful for Windows 11 users who have difficulty navigating their computers," said John Porter, who is also a person with Cerebral Palsy disability. Windows 11 accommodates the interests of users with disabilities in the digital teleconferencing platform.

There is a Microsoft Theme feature that provides close captions for users with sensory-hearing disabilities in 13 languages. Close caption serves to change the voice of the speaker in the forum into writing, so that it can be read by people with disabilities. "Close captions and subtitles can be used when the event is running live," the Microsoft team wrote on its official website.

In using the Microsoft Theme, the organizers and participants of the teleconference can access the close caption by selecting the box labeled caption. The text can be accessed by both mouse and directional arrows for screen reader users.
