Netflix officially releases Games for iOS devices
Different from customer expectations, the gameplay does not run in the Netflix application, but customers still have to download the game on the Play Store or App Store.
As promised, Netflix has finally released its gaming service to iOS devices, allowing iPhone and iPad owners to play some of the same titles as the Android version. In addition to being present in the Netflix app, the company is also releasing each individual game on the App Store list.
Netflix Games is a relatively new innovation within a movie streaming platform. Its games are adapted from Netflix original content, giving the company a new way to promote that content.
Contrary to customer expectations, the gameplay doesn't run inside the Netflix app on certain devices. Customers still have to download the game on the Play Store or App Store, by clicking on the title of the game in the Netflix app. So, instead of Netflix not being updated, customers can directly search for the title in their respective app stores.
So far, there are 5 games that Netflix subscribers can play, including:
- Stranger Things 3: The Game (Android | iOS)
- Stranger Things: 1984 (Android | iOS)
- Shooting Hoops (Android | iOS)
- Card Blast (Android | iOS)
- Teeter (Up) (Android | iOS)
